Moffatt & Nichol Announces New Transportation Coordinator For Southeastern United States
Orlando, Florida, May 5, 2017 – Moffatt & Nichol happily announces the addition of Darrell A. Nance, P.E. to our Orlando area office in Lake Mary, Florida. Mr. Nance will serve as the firm’s Transportation Coordinator in the Southeastern United States. His technical focus will be to assure outstanding and timely delivery on all phases of our transportation associated offerings, including Moffatt and Nichol’s analysis, planning, design and construction support of roadway, rail, structural, and environmental transportation projects.
As a senior member of the Moffatt & Nichol management, Mr. Nance will also be responsible for assuring proactive and effective client communications, strong staffing and team building, financial management, development of strategic approaches, strong effectiveness with external teaming partners, and exceptional quality product delivery for each of our regional projects/programs.
Prior to joining Moffatt & Nichol, Mr. Nance managed many high-profile transportation projects and programs throughout Florida and the Southeast. His clients included the Florida Department of Transportation, Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority (now CFX), multiple counties and cities, private clients, and many others. His career spans 35 years, with continued focus on project management, transportation master planning, toll facilities engineering and design, financial analysis, traffic studies, and construction management. His role while serving each of those entities during those years has ranged from design engineer to project and program manager to principle-in-charge.

Mr. Nance obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He is a Professional Engineer in the state of Florida and a member of the Florida Engineering Society, American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Associations.
